Terms of Use
These terms cover your use of Logis, an iOS app published by AJ Labs LLC. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.
What Logis is
Logis is a record-keeping tool. It stores what you own, when it was serviced and what is due next, and it reminds you. It is a record of what you tell it.
It is not professional advice. It does not inspect your home, it cannot know the condition of anything in it, and a task marked done in Logis is a note that you marked it done. Decisions about safety, repairs, insurance or compliance are yours, and where they matter you should get a qualified opinion.
Your account
You need an account to use Logis. Keep your sign-in details to yourself, give accurate information when you register, and tell us if you think someone else has got into your account. You are responsible for what happens under it.
You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and at least 13.
Your content stays yours
Everything you put into Logis belongs to you. AJ Labs LLC claims no ownership of it. The permission you give is narrow and practical: to store, process and display your content back to you so the app can function, and to hold backups so it can be recovered. Nothing more. Your content is not sold, not licensed on, and not used to advertise to you.
Export is available on every tier, as JSON and CSV, and is never behind the paywall. On a paid subscription it covers everything; on the free tier it covers what the free tier can see, which is the last six months of history. You can delete your account at any time, which purges it immediately. Both are covered in the Privacy Policy.
Free and paid
Logis has a free tier and a paid subscription.
The free tier gives you:
- one home
- ten active assets, where archiving one frees a slot
- six months of history
- 250 MB of storage
- no guided templates
The paid subscription lifts those limits. It is$2.99 per month or $24.99 per year, in US dollars.
There is no free trial, on purpose. The free tier is the trial, and it does not expire. Use it as long as you like before deciding.
How billing works
Subscriptions are sold through Apple and charged to your Apple Account.AJ Labs LLC never sees or holds your payment details.
A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before each period starts. You can manage or cancel a subscription in the App Store settings on your device, and cancelling stops the next renewal rather than the period you have already paid for.
Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policy, not byAJ Labs LLC. Prices can change, and if they do you will be told before a change affects you.
If a subscription ends
If your subscription ends, nothing is deleted. Your homes, assets, records and uploaded files all remain, and your account returns to the free tier.
The free limits then apply again. While you are above one, Logis will not let you add more of that kind until you are back under it. Archiving is how you get there: it takes something off your active list and deletes nothing, and you can restore it later.
The six month history window applies again too, so log entries older than six months stop being shown. They are not erased, and they come back if you subscribe again.
One consequence worth planning around: export on the free tier covers what the free tier can see, so an export taken after a subscription ends contains less history than one taken before it. If you want a complete copy of your record, export it while your subscription is still active.
Using it reasonably
Do not:
- break the law with it, or use it to store unlawful content
- upload someone else's material that you have no right to
- try to reach another user's data, or probe the service for weaknesses
- automate against the service in a way that degrades it for other people
- resell or redistribute the app as your own
Accounts doing any of the above can be suspended or closed. Where it is reasonable to do so, you will be told first and given a chance to export.
Availability
Logis needs an internet connection. It does not work offline today. There will be maintenance, outages and occasional faults, and no promise is made that the service will be available without interruption.
Keep your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose. Export exists for exactly this, it is free, and it is the sensible habit.
No warranty
Logis is provided as it is, and as available. So far as the law allows, AJ Labs LLC makes no promise that it will be uninterrupted, free of errors, or fit for any particular purpose, and gives no warranties beyond those the law requires and does not permit to be excluded.
Where you have consumer rights that cannot be waived, you keep them. Nothing here takes those away.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, AJ Labs LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for lost profits, or for damage arising from a maintenance decision you made, or did not make, on the basis of what was in Logis. Its total liability to you is limited to what you paid in the twelve months before the claim.
Some places do not allow limits like these. Where that is so, these limits apply only as far as the law permits, and your statutory rights are unaffected.
Indemnification
In plain terms: if someone brings a claim against AJ Labs LLC because of how you used Logis, you cover it rather than AJ Labs LLC.
That applies to claims arising from your use of the service, from content you uploaded, or from your breach of these terms, and it covers reasonable costs including legal fees. In return, AJ Labs LLC will tell you promptly about any such claim and will not settle it without asking you first.
Ending it
You can stop at any time by deleting your account in Settings. AJ Labs LLCmay suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, or withdraw the service itself with reasonable notice and time to export.
Changes to these terms
These terms can change. If a change is significant, the date at the top will change and you will be told in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Logis after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules.
Any dispute arising from these terms or from your use of Logis will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and both you and AJ Labs LLC agree to those courts hearing it.
